在我的项目中，我挑战时尚界的材料习惯，探索当我们拥抱被拒绝的材料时会发生什么：废弃物。我研究了我们的垃圾所经历的自然过程--腐烂、发霉、真菌，并将这些分解行为重新诠释为新事物的开始。该系列包括四套通过针织、毛毡和缝纫制作的服装；两双结合了 3D 打印热塑性聚氨酯和羊毛毡的鞋子；以及一系列用回收的聚乳酸 3D 打印废料制作、镀金并镶嵌宝石的首饰。该系列由 70% 的废料和 30% 的低影响新材料制成。

Maya Newman is a fashion and material-focused designer based in Israel and a graduate of Bezalel Academy of Arts and Design.
