Transform hairdye waste into wearable conversation
Vote now

TLC Dialogue Field transforms discarded hair dye aluminum packaging into upcycled wall art installations (60 shimmering gold pieces imprinted with styling tools) and wearable brooches. This icebreaker art is for eco-conscious individuals, aiming to reduce landfill waste and promote recycling by sparking environmental conversations and social interaction. Using free aluminum sheets as a base material reduces waste and adds color to interior spaces.

With over 30 years as Artistic Director at Mandarin Oriental Hong Kong, I champion sustainability in the salon industry. I transform discarded hair dye packaging into shimmering art—70 aluminum pieces that redefine waste into wall decor and storytelling around TLC (Treasure, Love, Care). This collection reflects my professional ethos and invites reflection on conscious consumption. Accompanying brooches carry the TLC message into daily life, sparking meaningful dialogue.
